MINDSTRONG 10
Celebrating 10 years of sweating out the stigma

On Sunday, May 25, the sun came out, the music turned up, and hundreds of us came together to
move with purpose — and wow, what a day it was!
This year, we marked 10 years of Mindstrong, and we truly had the time of our lives. From the opening stretch to the final beat drop, the energy was electric and the smiles were contagious. Whether you joined us for the workout or cheered from the sidelines — you were part of something powerful.
While fundraising remains at the heart of Mindstrong, the real magic lies in the community we've built and the message we've carried for a decade: that movement matters, that we still must fight the stigma of mental illness; and that together, we are stronger.
To our amazing participants, superstar trainers, special guests, tireless volunteers; and to our generous sponsors and donors: thank you. You showed up, showed out, and YOU made this milestone unforgettable.
Since 2015, we’ve raised almost $10.4 million in support of mental health services at the Jewish General Hospital — and we’re still counting!
Scroll through our photo gallery below to relive the energy through photos and videos from this incredible day. Every shot captured the joy, strength, and unity that define Mindstrong.

World Prematurity Day: Honoring Our Tiniest Patients
A Celebration of Strength, Hope, and Community
On World Prematurity Day, we proudly joined families, hospital staff, and supporters to honor the hospital’s tiniest heroes—the premature babies who begin their journeys in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). This special day was filled with heartwarming reunions, shared stories of resilience, and moments of gratitude for the dedicated healthcare teams who care for these little fighters.
With every hug, smile, and memory shared, this event highlighted the incredible impact of community support. Funds raised help provide essential equipment and resources for the NICU, ensuring that every premature baby receives the best possible start in life.
Behind the Curtain:
Drag Life with Misty Waterfalls
A Spectacular Night of Glitz, Glam, and Giving!
Co-Chairs Liz Wiener and Sidra Rubin were thrilled to present Behind the Curtain: Drag Life with Misty Waterfalls, an extraordinary evening that pulled back the curtain on the world of drag!
Misty Waterfalls and her fabulous friends, Bobépine and Kiara, put on a spectacular show, lighting up the stage with dazzling performances, breathtaking costumes, and larger-than-life personalities. Beyond the glitz and glamour, guests got an exclusive behind-the-scenes sneak peek into the artistry, dedication, and magic that go into the world of drag.
This unforgettable night was more than just entertainment—it was a fundraiser for our Patient Support Initiative, helping us continue our mission to enhance patient care and services.
Annual Bridge Luncheon
For 40 years the The Auxiliary's Annual Bridge Luncheon has been the foremost bridge event in Montreal. We are very proud to support the Jewish General with funds raised each year and provide an important service to the hospital.
With the onset of Covid, our last two tournaments have been online and we are grateful to all our ladies and gents who have continued to support the tournament.
Our committee headed up by the dynamic co-chairs, Ellen Amdursky, Linda Saks and Debbie Schouela are looking forward to another successful tournament in May 2023, our 42nd annual tournament.
